We landed in DesMoines, got our luggage and walked out the door to -45 DEGREE WEATHER. It was SOOOO cold!! (Ok, maybe not -45, but it was really cold).
The week was a busy one, but had a great time nonetheless. We started off by spending some time at the BIG SHOW on WHO radio where some of the Iowa state officers and I were on air for a few minutes to promote FFA week.
Throughout the week we visited several chapters, I won't name them all, because I would probably leave someone out, but to say the least, IOWA FFA ROCKS!
Spending time with the state officers was really great too!
I spent at least part of a day with Ryan, Charlie, Cortney, Sarah, Jacob, Bret, Zach and Dan. Alec, to spend time with that bunch has got to be incredible too, but because of weather our schedules didn't work out. Iowa State Officers have only seven weeks left and they are working hard to prepare for state convention and finish up their year. And to think they even go to school at the same time. I can't believe it.
Something cool: Eight of the nine Iowa state officers are studying agricultural education! We need qualified teachers, and they have embraced the 10X15 vision and are really living it out! Keep up the great work!
Check out some of these fun pictures!
Until Next Time,
MCP
